RAMBLINGS OF A MONDAY AFTERNOON

home

Um ... Monday evening?

1.  I just got back from a whirlwind visit to my parents.  It was so nice to spend more than a day (although, really it was only 24 hours) with them.  I got see my mom for Mother's Day, go to the gym bright and early this morning with my dad and visit one of my favorite aunts.  Then, a yummy lunch with my mom, followed by the local consignment shop and Sal Val.  THEN. I had to hurry home and go to work this evening.  I'm pooped!  But it was so fun.  Oh, did I mention I managed to forget my wallet?  Dumb ass.  So, once again in my life, I had to borrow money from the 'rents.

Anyway, my parents live in such a beautiful area and it's always fun to see how things have changed since I left (ten years ago!).  So many times today, I found myself thinking, "Wow!  That'd make a really cool outfit photo location!"  What a nerd!

2.  One of the small highlights of the visit was a little soft serve twist with sprinkles on a cone from the ice cream shop that was my first job.  And owned by a relative!  Mmm ... soft serve.  I've yet to find a really good place around here.

3.  My brother is coming home this week!

4.  I got more crazy pants!  Wheee!

5.  I've been kicking around two ides.  (1) Doing a giveaway for a pair of Friday's pants, custom made by me for the winner. And/or (2) Doing a brief video series teaching you how to follow the Burda pattern they are from and make your own.  Thoughts?

Have a great week!

  1. You should do a giveaway and make a video. For those who don't win, they can make your own.
    Sounds like a fantastic weekend!

  15. Video, video! I've been wanting to make something with my actual hands (ie not on a computer) lately, and crazy pants sound like a project I can do. Pretty please with a cherry on top?
