I AM SPARTACUS

5-4-10 1

As we were getting in the car this morning, John was making lovely spousal morning chat, asking when I got my new dress and complimenting today's look.  He's good like that.  Then, he noticed my bracelets and turned into a 10-year-old boy on Christmas morning.

He abruptly stopped in mid-sentence and exclaimed, "Woah, coooool!  Awesome bracelets!  Where'd you get those?!  You look like a gladiator!"  I'm pretty sure they made his day.  I'm also pretty sure that if they ever go missing, I'll likely find them wrapped snugly around his wrists as he yells things like "Max-i-mus! Max-i-mus!" and "I am Spartacus!"

  8. i was recently gifted a very similar vintage dress, but in white linen... i was thinking it looked a little too "nurses uniform" but i am loving how you did it up with the wide obi belt... totally makes it more edgy. i'm officially on the lookout for a hugely wide brown belt to recreate this silhouette. excellent work, per usual!

  11. I love a good black shirtdress- they go with everything and can be worn anywhere as far as I'm concerned. You look great!

Are you doing Wonder Woman in the second to last pic? I love posing like her (hands on hips- defiant stance)! Wonder Woman wishes her bracelets were as awesome as yours.
