HOOTERS ON ICE

12-7-09 2

It started to snow when I was taking my pictures.  Now, it's just blustering around, but there's a winter weather watch for tomorrow and Wednesday.  Snow, sleet, ice.  Should be fun.

Have you ever just stood in the snow trying to catch snowflakes in your mouth?
Mmm...

I'm wasting no time remixing this plaid skirt.  I loved it the first time around, but I'm loooooving it this way.  Since it's a wee bit cold for bare legs, I went out this morning and bought myself a pair of "caramel" colored tights - like nylons, but much, much thicker.  I figured they would be perfect with outfits like this.  They give the illusion of bare legs without the frostbite.  And added bonus:  they help keep my socks up.

While they do serve the purpose just fine, all I could think after I put them on was a.) I feel like I'm going to work at Hooters and b.) I'm now ready for the Ice-capades.  Aaaaand, of course, once these notions came into my head, they were there to stay.

Anyway ... I'm happy to report that I did, in fact, get all of my work done today.  Go me!  Although, it was a sad, sad moment when I realized that my Mariah Carey Christmas CD no longer works.  Sad face...

  12. I looked at your first picture and though, "Wow, she must be freezing!" then I read and discovered your tights secret. They're definitely not Hooters tights- they're nowhere near shiny enough!

As always, you are fabulously adorable. I finally got myself a pair of over the knee socks that I wore yesterday and thought of you. It was like wearing a sweater on my legs.
