RED LACES

Mmm ... red laces.  One of the guys who works with John had these on Friday.

I was inspired.

Friday was pretty much our last cool day.  The heat came back with a vengeance over the weekend, and this week is looking h-o-t.  I took full advantage on Friday and played with some longer lengths on my limbs.  I picked up this top at Target.  It's been there for months and I've liked it since I saw it, but my size was gone in a jiffy.  Not one to let anything stand in my way, I went the complete opposite direction and bought the largest size they had.  I love having all the extra fabric to tie, tuck and cuff to my heart's content.

RAMBLINGS OF A MONDAY AFTERNOON

Monday, Monday, Monday...

1. Man, weekends are nice!  I'm so entirely thrilled that I no longer have to work on Sundays!!!!!!  Hooraaaaaah!!!

2.  Hope you all enjoyed the 4th!  All you American readers, anyway.  I wore a patriotic dress and had some ice cream.  It was wonderful!

3.  I spent most of today on a photo shoot for The Rag and Bone's etsy shop.  I can't wait to share the photos with you.  It was such a blast!  It was also hot as balls!

4.  I'm officially within one week of my first 10K.  Getting nervous...

5.  This week is the Central Pennsylvania Arts Festival.  It's a huge local attraction and brings artisans and festival-goers from across the country.  If you're in the area, you should definitely check it out.

POP OF COLOR

How is it that the simple act of combining only 3 articles of clothing can make me so happy?  I really loved this look!  I felt a little street chic, yet comfy and me.

This was also day 3 of the top knot.  The unwashed top knot.  I promise, today I washed, dried and even curled my hair!  While it isn't hard to do, I'm usually rushing to get out the door and it's just not conducive to my morning routine.  It's a lot easier in the winter when I don't feel the need to rinse my hair in the morning.  I'll take a top knot every day of the year over the bitter cold of winter, though.

John took our (Iggy and my, of course) daily photos yesterday.  I just love this last one!

COOL WEDNESDAY

What's with the 70-degree weather in June (July!)?  I would love this weather anytime from October to May, but now?  Now, I want 80's all the way!

However, the cooler temps did afford me the opportunity to layer things up a little.  I really like the way my "shirt-dress thing" looked with the shirt under it.  Looks like I'll four seasons out of this baby!
