RAMBLINGS OF A MONDAY AFTERNOON

I heart today:

1. Since I worked last Monday, I've been going for about 14 days straight.  So, today is officially "Kyla's Day O' Fun!"  There will surely be some work to do later, but so far I have: gone for a run, met one of my very best friends and her uber cute baby for breakfast, gone thrifting, and popped into Target.  All of which have been incredibly fruitful.

2.  Lately, I've been addicted to: stove-top oatmeal with pumpkin, cinnamon and nutmeg; omelets with spinach, mushrooms and cheese; and cottage cheese with pineapple.  Mmm ... mmm ...

3.  Another favorite snack these days is a coco-pop rice cake with a little Cool Whip Free on it.  John finds it incredible entertaining that I make sure to keep the surface in the Cool Whip container completely even.  I can't help it.  This habit is also a lead indicator of when I've been eating his ice cream - suddenly the container is completely evened out.

4.  I went to see She's Out of My League this weekend and it was hysterical.  My cousin is in it and she's amazing and I'm so proud of her hard, hard work!

5.  We did most of our taxes yesterday.  And it sucked.  This year, I have at least 3 W-2's, a couple 1099's and a boat load of write-offs.  I'm thankful for my mother in infinite ways, but this time of year, I'm especially thankful that she's an accountant.  I love you, Mom!

  3. my friend does the even out thing with butter. she gets very distraught if anyone puts gouges in it, haha.

I saw She's Out of My League this weekend too! I nearly died when Krysten told the guy to go "relieve himself" in his hand. she's hilarious! I know that's in part the writing, but she pulls it off so effortlessly.
