WHAT DO YOU THINK?

After purchasing 2 pairs of wide leg trousers last week, I really needed the appropriate shoes to go with them.  I have a pair of heeled oxfords that would be perfect ... if they didn't have a heel.  Flats are a must these days, but I needed something a little more substantial than a ballet flat.

I still haven't gotten those brogues I wanted back in November, but I think these are a little more my style.  Here's hoping, anyway!

  1. I love the color. The shape is perfect for elongating the leg in some trousers.

  2. I love these! I've always wanted a pair of yellow shoes! :) And they'd look great with trousers!

I'm searching for a pair of decent flats myself. For some reason I always have trouble finding ones that I like/that match my wardrobe. Maybe I should get a style similar to these! :D

  3. I find shoes with a pointer toe don't go so well with my wides as they looks so skinny next to the pant leg. I prefer a rounder toe or heavier boot or platform front.

  4. In general, I feel the same way about pointy toes and wide leg pants. I'm hoping these are going to look less dainty. I've been doing round toes with them, but my legs are in desperate need of the lengthening.

  5. I think the pointed toe will help to define your foot. Whenever I wear round toe shoes with wide leg trousers my feet get lost in the fabric. I also love the color of these! I know you're looking for more of a shoe than a ballet flat, but Target online had an orange version of your blue flats a while back. You may be able to find them still.

  6. I love the yellow shoes...they're such a great shade that neutralizes the color and will go with anything. Plus the shape of the toe will be perfect with trousers.

    LOVE!

  7. I'm going to agree with katherine on this one, unless they have a heel or a bit of a chunk, i find round toed flats make wide leg pand look too... bulky? imo!
i love the shoes you chose, they're not too pointy, and they still have the substance required for such focus stealing pants.
    good choice!

  8. ohh i really like! the pointed toe is a must for wide-leg trousers, i think. i have had the same issues finding the right shoes for wide-legged pants, and pointy-toe is always my go-to.

  9. I love the color and flats are so essential this time of year if you have to walk outside at all.

  10. Yep, I agree that pointy toes look great with wide leg pants. those are super cute and look like they would work really well. I know Target has had some pointy toe flats in the past, too, but cheap flats seem to rub my heels to death. I personally LOVE the "Me Too" brand due to the buttery soft leather. I know I'm rambeling now, so I'm going to stop...

  16. I love the shade of yellow. I'm not a big fan of pointy toes, but these look like they aren't super-pointy. I think they would work really well with your style.
