RAMBLINGS OF A MONDAY AFTERNOON

Unlike most of you, I'm sure, I love Mondays.  It's the only day of the week that I almost have off.  Other than a few hours in the evening and whatever meetings I schedule during the day, it's my time.  It gives me a great opportunity to work on my many projects, catch up with my correspondence and just kick back and relax.  I only wish the time didn't go so fast...

Here's my Monday ramblings:

1. We are now embarking on my least favorite time of the year.  It's sooooo cold outside, yet Target has already put their swimsuits out.  Ugh ...

2.  The upside about spring inventory hitting the sales floor is that winter inventory is on major sale.  I went to Target on a whim this morning - I don't even remember why and whatever it was, I didn't get it.  But what I did get is a super sweet grey faux leather moto jacket.  For $7.50.  I was so excited that I called John at work to tell him the good news.

3.  I have been sticking to my 2010 resolution of cooking something new every week.  Last week was veggie soup (not really new, but it's more about the cooking part), and this week, I made a good-for-you chili with pumpkin, beans, and wheat bulgar.  It's soooo good ... even if I did accidentally double the pumpkin.  Like everything else I do, I skimmed the directions and then winged it.  Must learn to follow instructions.

4.  Did I tell you guys that I'm opening an Etsy shop?  More on that later.

5.  I'm kind of excited for my TV shows to start up again.  Looking forward to CSI, CSI:NY, Burn Notice, Lost, Leverage and a few more I can't think of at the moment.

Now, I must go doll myself up and get out the door.  Happy Monday, all!

  1. I can't wait for Lost to come back too! I also can't wait to hear about the Etsy shop. I'm so excited to find out what it will be! As for the sales, my problem is that I spent enough in the Fall/early Winter that around this time is when I'm trying not to spend money so I miss all the good sales. It's totally backwards.

  4. You can enjoy Mondays on my behalf :)

I'm excited we are past the holidays- I am a creature who need routine so it's good for me to be back to my normal one! I am, however, excited that we can catch up on Californication since we changed cable providers and am also stoked for Worst Cooks in America- we saw the first episode and it was pretty good!

  13. you like CSI?! I LOVE that show! I don't watch the new ones though, I figure without Warrick and Sara and Grissom it's not worth it.
I'm super excited for Breaking Bad, but that doesn't start up till March. :o(

  18. I just found your blog and LOVE your photos. Just going through a couple of pages, it seems that you use a timer and tri-pod. I'm wanting to get a camera myself and wonder what camera you use and what lenses? Sorry to post a non-relevant note, but I didn't see an email link for you...Thanks!
