What else would you want to wear on a casual, rainy Tuesday than denim, flannel and fur?
I also wore this over the weekend (gross, I know - but laundry is so overrated) and got a ton of compliments on my hat. Granted, they all came from grown up former hippies at the antique mall, but I'll take it. Kindred spirits, no?
I'm loving this topper so much, that I've completely forgotten how "bold" it may look to others. I guess I just don't care. Or, I'm just that stubborn. (9 out of 10 people would probably agree with the latter).
I'm feeling a little European-hipster-hippie-utilitarian-crazy lady today and I'm loving every minute of it! None of those things are really related, but ... whatever ...
My only fear with the hat is that from a distance, it may look something like this:
Jean: TJMaxx, $13 - Flannel: Target boys, $5 - Hat: Beacon's Closet, $10 - Clogs: old, story to follow
I love your hat so much. I'm not sure I'd have the guts to wear it, but I'm glad that you do!
ReplyDeleteYou make casual pieces look so good Kyla. I think it was be the confident stance you put off..
ReplyDeleteThose jeans look great, as always.
I really must try indidenim when i have the time/money :)
Thanks for the inspiration.
I love the story about your clogs. I can't believe your feet are the same size as when you were 12!
Have a great day/night! It's 7am here.
Hahaha - mullet head!
ReplyDeleteNo, it looks like a cute hat, not a mullet at all :)
LOL I hope you dont look like that from afar either! That would be terrible for people to think you have that awesome hairdo and then be disappointed when they find out it's just a hat creating the best optical illusion known to man!
ReplyDeleteLMAO... no really I truly laughed out loud when I scrolled down to that last pic. :)
ReplyDeleteFear not, you look nothing like that! You look a million times better, promise! ;-)
i am totally looking for a fur hat like that now. i gotta hand it to you, even though it was a hot nyc summer, you had your mind in the right place! you look great.
ReplyDeleteI love the combo and Hippies are the just so awesome. I want to buy a hat like that but I am not sure I can pull it off right now. Love it on you though.

ROFLMAO! Iove the mullet..I mean...hat?
ReplyDeleteahahaha, you kill me. You look like a skinny little booty girl in these pics...reeearr!
"Utilitarian" is the perfect word for this outfit. I love the simplicity, comfort, and, of course, fabulous hat!
ReplyDeleteLove that hat to pieces. If I had a hat like that I'd try to rock it everyday day.
ReplyDeleteHahahaha, you just made my day :) You definately do not look like you have a mullet, my dear :) You look like you are a chic lady wearing a super cute fur hat.
ReplyDeleteYou are right! That hat IS absolutely amazing and I love it intensely. I love this whole outfit in fact.
ReplyDeleteHahahaha! That last pic was a doozy but never worry; you definitely do not look anything like that lady - with that hat on. I used to wear something similar and at work they posted up some picture of a Russian lady with some funny nonsense on the bottom about how I used to go hunt for seals during my off hours. I don't remember verbatim everything they wrote; but the picture of the Russian lady will forever be engraved in my mind:)
ReplyDeleteThat hat is sooo cute on you!! I love it everytime i see it on you. And I don't think it looks like a super feathered bouffant hairdo at all. LOL. You are too funny!
ReplyDeleteI love this look! The big hat is making me think about trying to find one!
ReplyDeleteI love, love this outfit! And I agree, laundry is overrated!
ReplyDeleteU rock that hat!
ReplyDeleteNo mullet action here! I love the look!
ReplyDeletelol, is that vanna white? haa. i wonder if her fancy mullet kept her head as warm as a fuzzy hat...
ReplyDeleteYou look crazy cute in those jeans. Win!
