REWORKIN' IT

11-5-09 1

Another day, another hour short.  Man, I need more time in the day!

11-5-09 2

Once again, I was running around to get out of the house and had to put this together super quick.  Apparently, when all else fails, just re-wear something you wore on Monday.

11-5-09 3

I bought this skirt the same day I bought the boots.  I intended to pair them together, but needed the perfect top, so that it wouldn't look too western.   Enter: that same TJMaxx sweater!

The skirt was laying out, awaiting it's first wear, so I threw it on and the rest just flowed.  I love, love, love when an idea materializes so effortlessly.  I wasn't sure what the cowl neck would look like over the collared shirt, but the moment I slipped it over my head, I was in love.  So, in one short week, the cost per wear on this sweater is down to $6.6666666666...

I've gotten a couple requests for a video tutorial on my little 'do here.
Soooo, coming soon to a blog spot near you:
"Kyla and the Top Knot"

Stay tuned...

And guess what!
The Target gods must be on my side, because I got my boots already!  Yay!

Gray Oxford: Bitten by SJP, $10 - Sweater: TJMaxx, $20 - Skirt: Charlotte Russe, $5
Tights: Hue, $11 - Boots: Wanted, $30

  5. I love collared shirts with high necklines. Try wearing one under a fitted turtleneck too - one of my favorite looks ever!

And that skirt is too cute for words. I love the print :)

  8. The boots really make this outfit awesome. The studs offset the sweater and skirt so well! Yay Kyla! I'm still shamelessly hoping you'll read my blog by the way :)
