THE PROFESSOR

10-13-09 3

If I were the academic type, this would be my uniform.  Today's get-up left me feeling very smart and pulled together.  It was perfect for a day of work and client meetings.  I was on the go all day, but VERY productive.  This lifestyle is much more suited to me than a 9-5 job.  I'm LOVING the freedom!

Smart and pulled together with the exception of the hair, which is a bit of a hot mess.  It was a bit windy today.  And chilly - hence, the layers.  This blazer was an AMAZING purchase last season.  It was on clearance at NY&Co. and fits like a glove.  And it's fully lined! It makes my heart flutter every time I look at it.  Especially in that dreamy merlot hue.

  2. I also think your hair totally works all windblown and messy... it's very late 60's groupie-chic. And those jeans... like a glove, honey... like a glove.

  11. This is a really cute look, it looks so fall-ish. I love it!

Oh and the owl necklace you asked about is from a jewlery store in the city (cant remember the name at the moment). It's pretty cool everything is $3 all the necklace, braclets and rings you could ever ask for lol.

  12. What a sexy look for Fall! Meow!

I work standard hours, roughly 8:30 - 5:00, it works for me. I keep a very routine schedule day to day, week to week. It fits well with my personality.

It would be amazing if Iggy and Igby could meet! I didn't even think of the name similarity till after the fact. They might be a little confused. :)

  17. Love the perspective in these photos, and your outfit is great.

My ideal work schedule is one that allows me plenty of time for blog-reading, which my current one doesn't. If I could find a way to get paid for blogging, even better.

  18. Kyla! I saw this outfit on Weardrobe and immediatly said, "OMG, she is so cute." This is my favorite Kyla look ever.

I want to be an artist/writer (yeah, me and 50,000,000 other people!), so, a freelance sort of life is for me. I have no taste for a schedule, routine, etc.
