In case you ever wondered what happens to your camera lens when you leave it next to a/c all day, then take it outside in 90 degree humid heat, well, here you go. I took pictures after a really long day and wasn't quite firing on all cylinders. So, when the picture looked a little diffused for lack of a better word, I didn't really do anything about it. I noticed on my way back inside that the lens was completely fogged up. I thought the effect might be kind of cool, but turns out, it's a little much. Just thought I'd share the pictures anyway. After all, they do have their own little charm about them.
The outfit was really basic - an oxford criss-crossed and tucked for a more tailored fit and this adorable vintage wrap skirt from The Rag and Bone. (Have you entered the giveaway, yet?) I love the wrap detail with the tie at the waist. It's so easy to wear and style. My favorite!
Oxford: Bitten, $10 - Skirt: vintage via The Rag and Bone, $15 - Shoes: Target, $17
Epic Fail or Twilight style blog pics? Well, some would say that in spite of making millions, the Twilight stories are still an Epic Fail, but eh. The mood is nice.
ReplyDeletei like it actually. it looks like fairy land.
ReplyDeleteyou look like a fairy! this dreamland effect is kind of cool, especially with a floaty chiffon dress or something else romantic.
ReplyDeleteI really like the outfit! Love the chambray with the printed skirt! So cute!
ReplyDeleteYour pics look like they were taken in a Lord of The Rings scene. lol
ReplyDeleteThat skirt is too cute and you can wear it so many ways!
In a weird way I really like how these pictures turned out. But thanks for the tip, since I think we have the same camera.
ReplyDeleteI love that print on the skirt.
this happens to me all the time, living in south florida and all. its so annoying. but i kinda like them maybe if you diffuse them a bit they would look a bit mystical.
ReplyDeleteDude, honestly, I think these are marvelous. Mystical and lovely. And the outfit is perfect!
ReplyDeleteI like it! I love misty/fogginess though. I think it adds a sort of enchantment.
ReplyDeleteI actually like how they came out! It sort of looks like they were taken on an old analog camera, and the film got a little messed up during developing! :)

I wouldn't want to see them everyday, but these pics are really cool. It looks like a super fashion-y intentional effect.
ReplyDeleteOh dear! Poor leanse!
ReplyDeleteIt does give it a cool look though.
I think these photos are incredible. They look so mysterious and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOoh, how ethereal.
ReplyDeleteI've done this. And I've been in the exact same state of mind (ie: Not going back out). I think these look dreamy.
ReplyDeleteWhat Kathryn form Schoolmarm Style said!
ReplyDeleteKYLA! DON'T DO THAT TO YOUR LENSE! My husband would have a fit if he saw these pictures. If it is in a cold place and goes into heat you absolutely shouldn't touch the camera for atleast half an hour so it can dry up.
ReplyDeleteThe pictures do look cool, but knowing how bad this is for your camera I am scorning you from the comfort of my chair behind my monitor where I am safe and you can't attack me with your mega pipes... :)
I like to see you clear.. :)
This looks pretty cool, though I guessing it's not GREAT for your lens.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the photos actually. They're just a more modern take on fashion blogging:) And now we all learned something new today!
ReplyDeleteSuper cool pics, though it's completely sad about your camera. Love the outfit :)
ReplyDeleteThat effect is very cool, not an epic fail.
ReplyDeleteEpic Fail? Methinks more an Epic Success...
ReplyDeleteThese pictures have such a beautiful, haunted quality.
I adore.
