Last winter, I scoured clothing racks all over town in search of the perfect flannel shirt. I knew I wanted a red plaid. It had to be fitted. But I didn't want one that was sized specifically for girls - something about those mini pockets irks me.
After much diligence and my usual stubbornness, I finally found exactly what I was look for ... on a clearance rack. In the boys department. For 5 measly dollars.
You saw me pair it with khakis and snakeskin yesterday, so I thought I'd round up a few more shots of it today. A year later and it's still getting some major wear. How's that for an investment piece? Hehehe.
On a completely unrelated note...
I never have any concept of how much my hair is growing until I look at old pictures. Check out how much shorter it was back in September in that first picture!
Love that plaid shirt and I totally hear what you're saying about the length of your hair. I diligent about cutting my hair every 8 weeks and it always seems like a new look.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite look is probably the 2nd picture, thought you have styled it really well in all three! By the way, love the lighting in the last pic too.
ReplyDeleteThe trench outfit........is AMAZING....
ReplyDeletethat plaid shirt is rad! i have so much trouble finding the perfect plaid shirt at the thrift store. must take a cue from you and spend more time there digging...
ReplyDeleteI really love your style!
ReplyDeleteI found my red plaid top (that I have yet to photograph) at Gabriel Brothers. I don't know if you've ever heard of it, but it's basically a huge store (sort of like TJ Maxx or Marshalls) where all the reject clothes (tears, stains, etc) go to get sold on the cheap. There was nothing wrong with mine and it was $5. A-mazing.

I definitely need a flannel. Makes me wish I had saved all of the ones I wore in high school. Who knew my grungy roots would come in handy one day?
ReplyDeleteYou make this look so different every single time. I love it! and I love how long your hair is getting. I'm in the same growth mode right now. It's great to see how far my hair has come in just a few months!
That flannel has definitely paid for itself! I love all the different looks, though I think I like ti best with the oatmeal colored sweater and jeans!
ReplyDeleteThis is genius. You are a fashion genius!
