Okay, I might be obsessed. Thank you all so much for your Mary J recommendations. Between that and this rapidly growing, fiery obsession for Lady Gaga, I'm going to be be-boppin' around all week. Whee!
Like my new sweater dress? Isn't it super amazing? Doesn't four dollars and eighteen cents make it even more super amazing? It's one of my purchases from this past weekend, along with the painted bangles.
I am utterly exhausted right now. I had a very, very busy day with lots of hustling, bustling, loading and lugging. But it was worth it. There was never a dull moment and I was pretty productive along the way.
Since you are all so awesome with the recommendations, does anyone know of a really good dance workout DVD? I'm looking for something with more advanced choreography that will really bust a sweat.
Looking at the pictures, it seems like they were taken forever ago. I was rather disheveled 'til I got home. But now, I can enjoy an evening of vegging out and maybe even some light sewing.
Yay for lazy productivity!

ReplyDeleteOnce again, you've hit it out of the park with the sweater dress and red boots! Those boots are made for walking....And I'm eyeing those damn bracelets! Love it!
ReplyDeleteLove black/white/red together. I also like how you tied your scarf. Can you explain how you did it, please.
ReplyDeleteI love that scarf!!!!! Amazing outfit!!!
ReplyDeleteThose boots are so fantastic. And the dress is off the charts!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great deal on that dress. I love how it looks paired with those boots.

i actually like the carmen electra vdeos... (lol)
GREAT outfit...love everything!!
ReplyDeletecan you explain how you tied the scarf??
Turbo Jam!!! It's so much fun! It's a lot of kicking and punching (martial arts) but it also a lot of dancing. Plus Chalene Johnson is so fun! Try Turbo Jam Cardio Party 1. Try amazon.com first. You can get it much cheaper.
ReplyDeleteBTW, love the sweater dress and red boots.

Hi Kyla,
ReplyDeleteI haven't said it yet but I was thinking it already... those red boots are amazing! I love this whole look the boots are right there in my face but then there are these subtle little things, the bangles, the scarf/hanky and then the simple yet stunning sweater dress. CUTE!
LOVE this, from the fabulous dress to the rad scarf and those awesome bangles!!!!!! Great deal too :)
ReplyDeleteI have been lurking for a few months on your blog, and had to comment today as that is my favorite outfit so far. That dress looks great on you! Worth every penny....in fact probably worth more than you paid for it!
ReplyDeleteI'm really lovin' the bangles and scarf :)
ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL scarf!
ReplyDeleteI'm miffed at how you find things for 4 dollars and 18! cents. 18, huh? Looks good..
ReplyDeleteAnd look at you looking for advanced choreography... I can hardly (I actually can't) follow steps on simple routines...
Love the way you tied that scarf and those bracelets really add so much personality to this look!
ReplyDeleteok, perfect outfit. I'm jealous of your ON dress. love it.
ReplyDeletethis outfit is amazing from the scarf to the bangles and down to the shoes!

oh, lady gaga.
ReplyDeletedang, your eye for bargains is envy-inducing. that dress looks terrific on you (and cozy, at that!)
I love everything about this outfit! I am always amazed by how expensive you make your deals look :)
ReplyDeleteOoooooooo, I loveth this look!!! The red boots are just amazing, the black dress is perfect, and the scarf ties everything together.
ReplyDeleteHello Kyla, i like your outfit today, and I like how you use the scarfs in many outfits, how do you bend the scarfs to get this effect?
ReplyDeleteI have to second the Carmen Electra recommendation. I have the whole series and they're all great. The second one is the hardest workout but not so dance-y. The Hip Hop one is probably my favorite dance and not really risque. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteyay! I am back and have missed reading your lovely blog! going to have to get caught up here. and wow, to that outfit. my favorite red boots are making a triumphant return here! and as always the combination of black, red, and white is ravishing on you. :) good call with that sweater dress. it has a really nice fit. I have an issue finding ones that aren't too bulky, but that one is sheer perfection. love the pattern against the solid with the scarf and bracelets as well. and glad you are listening to miss gaga. she rules. hands down. especially if you need music to work out to! perfect for running and/or dancing it out!

Kyla, I love everything you have going on here. Every time I pass a Payless I think of those boots. Then I go in hoping against hope that there will be one pair (size 8) tucked away in a corner. It has yet to happen but I still hope.
ReplyDeletePlease tell how you tied that scarf!
I love how all the aspects of this outfit tie together so perfectly! You look great!
ReplyDeleteI'm goo goo for Gaga too...however I was totally appaled and offended that her second cd has...count em... 8 songs! 8 SONGS? WTF? And honestly, only three of them are good. I'm mad I spent money on her second album. She really needs to work hard to get me to buy another album. I still think she is awesome though. Love your "affordable" sweater dress lady!
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit! The color palette is simple perfection, and I love that you found that dress for such a great price.
ReplyDeleteThat sweater dress looks fantastic on you, and I love your bangles. And I love how your scarf is tied too. Great outfit all around.
ReplyDeleteFind a ZUMBA class.. or maybe they have dvds online. I started going in November and its the most fun I've had at the gym, ever!
ReplyDeleteSweet. I love Lady Gaga. And sweater dresses. You rock this one!
ReplyDeleteLOVE this dress... and on you! PERFECTION!
ReplyDeleteEmail me your address at barefootinboots_@_gmail.com and I will see if I have any dance workout dvds left. YOU CAN HAVE THEM or it. Whatever I have! I can't dance and I just get frustrated.
I prefer Jillian Michaels "the Shred" I don't have to dance.
What a fabulous scarf tie! Perfect for larger scarves. And my gosh, those red boots are to die for.
ReplyDelete1. I love how you tied your scarf.
ReplyDelete2. I also adore these boots and I have decided I want a pair. I just never know what to pair the bright of a red with. You do it beautifully.
3. Those bangles are killer! I love the ethnic feel of them.
Are you kidding me that the dress was only $4??? Whatttt?!!?! I'm jealous because it's clearly fabulous! I love the black, white, red combo. The painted bangles are fantastic... everything is fantastic. haha :) In regards to the workout dvds, if you have Comcast cable, you can check out the OnDemand menu... they have a bunch of fitness stuff that you can get for free. Just a thought :)
ReplyDeletethe dress is totally fabulous! & i love the way you tied your scarf. Wish i could veg out today instead of going to work :)

Great purchase for $4.18! Old Navy sale racks are the best...sometimes better than thrifting.
ReplyDeleteI wish I had some good recos on dance workout DVDs, but I'm choreography challenged. Although if you have Comcast on-demand they have some great stuff to work out to. I've been doing pilates lately because I can't do much else with my cast on.
cute, with those bangles you look positively Canadian!
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful outfit! You look so svelte! :]
ReplyDeletelove how u are incorporating valentines!! one of my favorite holidays!
