I was so excited to take pictures this morning! The thin layer of fresh snow makes for such a tranquil backdrop, especially against this outfit. I got up at 7, cleaned the house and got ready for work a bit early ... all so that I could enjoy taking my daily pictures. In high school, I was really into photography. Then, I didn't do much with it in college. After college, I set up a darkroom in our spare bathroom and indulged in the media once again. I looooove it! Unfortunately, our present house doesn't have a space big enough for my darkroom. Since starting this blog, I have been falling in love with photography all over again. Taking the pictures has become just as enjoyable as the clothes. Now, I'm dying for a dSLR. Why, oh, why didn't I get one back in April when I got a new camera?!
Either way, I still had a blast taking these shots. I only wish I had more time to perfect the lighting and focus. And perhaps another 20 degrees. This skirt is another Christmas present from my husband, and by that, I mean it's another present I bought for myself and he wrapped. hehe... It's made of such a soft jersey fabric and I love it against the black tights, popped with red boots. Had I not been wearing the tights and boots when I tried it on in the store, I may not have been so crazy about it. But this heavenly match couldn't be denied.
This is not even the way I intended to wear it, but I love this simple combination. That just means that I already have another outfit in mind for this baby!
