LAYER UPON LAYER, WINTER'S HERE

Whoa, nelly!  Today.  Is.  Cold.

I'm sure it's not bad compared to other places, but right now it's 19F out, but according to weather.com (and me), it feels like 2F.  The wind is ridiculous!

This is not what I intended to wear today, but I wasn't feeling my first look.  I was in the mood for something floaty, layered and warm.  I even made a quick trip to Target for this henley, which ended up being the absolute perfect, perfect finishing touch!

I got this dress several years ago at BMoss.  Though it's several sizes too big, I couldn't bear to part with it.  There's something about the colors and print that I just love, so I chopped about 5" off the bottom and put it back into rotation.

After the snow and the rain yesterday, there came frigid temperatures that have made conditions quite icy.  So much so, that I wasn't even sinking into the snow when taking these pictures.  I was walking on (frozen) water.

    It has been freezing in Chicago lately, too. And VERY icy. You look fabulous in this outfit. I love it!

    So happy to hear that you just lopped off the bottom of your dress! It is such a gorgeous print! I was excited by it instantly! This is such a great look! One of my favorite combos of all time!

    great outfit, I love the colours! everything goes together so perfectly.

    it's about 12F where I live right now, but it sounds so much colder when you call it -11. which we of course do in Nova Scotia. brr!

    I know I may be just a wee bit partial here but I must say, Kyla, you look absolutely adorable! This may just be one of my very best favorite outfits on you!!!

    Looks like we left just in time. No snow in New York, YET!!! Guess what, we gave notice!!! Yes sweetie, we will be permanently in PA by mid-January!!! Iggy seems to be right at home in the snow. Can this be so? Hugs to you and John AND Iggy!

    It's never 12 degrees here, so that's pretty crazy cold to me.

    such a pretty dress! I'm happy that you kept it in the rotation. I completely know the feeling of not wanting to part with certain things even though they no longer fit you. probably the only sad part about losing weight! well this still looks great on you after your alterations. I'm loving all of these warm, wintery colors that you are wearing lately. so many pretty brown colors, and they look fab on you. you do layers so well and I'm inspired to go rock some layers today!

    I dont know how you are still taking pics outside! We haven't even seen one little snowflake and Ive already banished myself to staying indoors as much as possible. I love the colors and pattern of your dress. So perfect for the winter weather.

    That dress sure looks great on and I always love how you layer. I'm pretty much all thumbs at it; but you inspire me to keep trying:)

    And as for that weather....hasn't it been freakin' cold out there? On our end, we haven't seen the snow but it has been really windy and the cold has been bone chillin'...brrrrr.
