Mmm ... red laces.  One of the guys who works with John had these on Friday.
I was inspired.

Friday was pretty much our last cool day.  The heat came back with a vengeance over the weekend, and this week is looking h-o-t.  I took full advantage on Friday and played with some longer lengths on my limbs.  I picked up this top at Target.  It's been there for months and I've liked it since I saw it, but my size was gone in a jiffy.  Not one to let anything stand in my way, I went the complete opposite direction and bought the largest size they had.  I love having all the extra fabric to tie, tuck and cuff to my heart's content.

    I love this shoot! And I want red laces so bad now. Also I'm glad I saw you tie a shirt because I was going to tie up a dress to wear as a shirt and I was like "Is this too ghetto? Hmmm..." But now I'm just going to do it! And... has anyone ever told you that you look a bit like Reese Witherspoon? Haha.

    Love the outfit right down to the shoes and pics are great. Could see a funky bag with splashes of red in it - would go great with the licorice! :)

    Your sense of style is brilliant! And I loooove Target. I think all my favorite wardrobe pieces have come from there.

    I love how you can mix and match patterns and look so pulled-together. How do you do it? If I ever try to mix patterns I look like walking schizophrenia.

    Darling... this outfit and photos are incredible. I've been a long time stalker, but for some reason never commented. I think it's because I found your blog when I found my other 'firsts' aka back when I was a stalker without a blog and I never commented. I'm sorry you got lumped into that, because your blog is one of the few that has stood the test of time. I couldn't NOT comment when I saw this post though.. You're always sassy, but I loved how these photos were so goofy and fun. Which is not to say your photos usually arent.. hmm I think you smell what I'm stepping in. The black and white with the stripes and firework pants and the wedges. lovelovelovelovelovelove. My personal fav is the second to last. did I mention I love this outfit?     Oh, girl. You are rocking my world here. I adore this look- so funky and fun, but still put together with the proportions and the simple color palate. The use of the Red Lace certainly gives you an air of daring, too. ;) Never heard of them, but now I'm curious about them, both as an accessory AND a snack...
