Remember this? Behold the finished product!
I'm really happy with how they turned out and they were really easy. Now, I want to make another pair in a different fabric - something brighter and possibly in a print. I think I'll also make the pant legs a little longer on the next pair.
The rest of the look is pretty standard for me - basic tee, waist-cincher, t-strap sandals and just enough bling to make things interesting.
What do you think? Would you wear them?

They look fantastic! I'm so impressed with your sewing skillz! I'd definitely wear them on the weekend, but the grey color is too reminiscent of sweats for me to approve them for classroom apparel.
ReplyDeletethese look awesome. i would totally try them on. i am not sure if i could pull them off. i do look forward to a print version of them though!
ReplyDeleteOMG!!! they are fantastic. I would totally wear them. I seriously need to pull out my sewing machine that I was given and actually learn how to sew.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't wear them, as I like the natural human shape and things that create subtle flattery of the natural human shape.
ReplyDeleteNot only would I wear them, I will buy a pair if you ever decide to sell them *hint hint*
ReplyDeletewhoa! those are awesome--i would definitely wear them. plus they look amazingly comfortable.
ReplyDeleteLOVE them!!! they look great!!! and i wasn't kidding before...can you figure out how to make a maternity pair? black linen would be perfect! ;)
ReplyDeleteYou look adorable. I would not wear them, they kind of remind me of a FUPA. Google it. It's highly inappropriate.
ReplyDeleteI think they're decent since you made them and all but I personally wouldn't wear it because they probably wouldn't flatter me and I don't really like how there's this massive portion of fabric between the legs which goes as long as your knees! but I like the outfit as a whole :}
ReplyDeleteOh yea, I'd wear them. Cute!
ReplyDeleteYou always do that... I decide I don't like something and then you bust it out and make me question my decisions. You rock a drop crotch (I said crotch...).
ReplyDeleteAnother thing...I was reading your post about the cream color brogue Steve Madden shoe. I found the exact same show at Ross for $8. I am wearing them today. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for all your inspiration. I saw them on you and thought they might look cute on a old lady...lol!
They look awesome! You're a fabulous DIYer.

Your fashion braveness impresses me so much! I love how these pants look on you. I think harem pants are something I need to try on in the dressing room, giggle, then move on (like I did with a romper). Your style so works with these!
ReplyDeleteI am super impressed! These are the most amazingly stylish sweatpants I have ever seen (they are sweats materials right?)
ReplyDeleteMy initial reaction is that I wouldn't wear them, but I've also said that about harem pants and maxi dresses. You constantly make me challenge the ideas of what a short girl with some curves can pull off!
Love the necklace!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun sewing project! You did a great job and they look really good on you. As for me, I don't think I have the confidence to rock harem pants yet.
ReplyDeleteI love ur DIY project, ur pants are very fab!, I'm planning to make pants from jersey material but never have time to sewing :(

I'd TOTALLY wear them. I acutally have a pair very similar that my sister sewed, and have been thinking of wearing them soon.
ReplyDeleteYou look beautiful, as always.
xx
Wow, lady, way to GO! Now I'm dying to try the harem pant look all over again ...
ReplyDeleteheck YES i would wear those pants!!! i freaking love them. i can't believe you made them yourself! just yesterday i was talking with a friend about how we both suddenly want to wear harem pants. it never occurred to me at all that one could make their own. you did an amazing job, and i love how you styled them too. ~joelle
ReplyDeleteoh wow! they look great!! congrats on a fantastic pair of pants. what fabric did you use? whenever i make something that turns out well, i start wanting to make a million of them in every color and print...so i understand your want to make more! i think they'd look adorable in a print...or even silky...ooh. -noel
ReplyDeleteOnly YOU could make a pair of sweats look so totally fab! Seriously, I'm always amazed at your risk...and reward. Keep it up, lady!
ReplyDeleteThe first thing I thought when I saw this photo was, "where can I get my hands on a pair of these pants?!". Then I read that you made them... unbelievable. Seriously awesome.
ReplyDeleteI would not wear them, no, but you do make them look quite good! I love how the simplicity of the rest as far as shape and color lets the pants be in the spotlight.
ReplyDeleteH.O.T! This outfit is wicked awesome!!!
ReplyDeleteYour pants turned out great! And I love the classic way you styled them!
ReplyDeleteYou look SO comfy! Love how you styled them, so elegant =)
ReplyDeleteOH. MY. Gosh. This is nbelievably chic, lady, and oh so "you." Your skills are super impressive. Bravo!
