Yay! It's another Mailbox Mavens post! Have ya'll met Christina of Fabulocity in Amish Country, yet? She's the lovely behind the Mavens and a fellow PA blogger! She sent me this tunic along with a little challenge: pair it with another bold print. I really wanted to pair it with something leopard-y, but, alas, I have nothing. Boo!
But I think I managed to meet her challenge just the same. I love the black and white checks paired with this coral-print skirt. There's something so classic and fun about the whole bit!
Want to see more of the Mailbox Mavens? Check out all these other lovely ladies!
Iggy and I took a little frolic around the park today. These are a lot of pictures, so you can leave now if you'd like. I'll admit, they're a little more for me than you, but I just love my little dog so much. Capturing these little moments will be sure to make me smile for years to come!
I can't get enough of these little snapshots:
And when your beard is this unruly, you're bound to pick up a little foliage now and again:
And, of course, this is what happened less than 5 minutes after we got home:
Shirt: Christina via Mailbox Mavens - Skirt: self-made - Belt: Express, $10 - Shoes: JCP, $8
Aww K, you look adorable!! I love sweet femininity of the floral skirt, but the edginess of the plaid tunic. Wonderful!!

ReplyDeleteToo cute! You will definitely not regret having all these pics.
ReplyDeleteI love this pairing so much!! It is fantastic and you look great in it.
ReplyDeleteThat is exactly how my dog is as soon as we get back from the park. He finds the coldest floor space in the house and plants himself there.
i forgot to say - your dog is frickin' adorable!!! what an awesome accessory!
ReplyDeletefabulous skirt! the cut is great and so is the style, very flattering. i really like the juxtaposition between the dark geometric of the plaid with the soft pink print of the skirt. You've inspired me, I'm gonna do a little blue collar catwalkin' on the west side in the next couple of days :)
ReplyDeleteThe outfit is great, but the pictures of you and Iggy are priceless. Don't you have a leopard print jersey skirt? It would probably have been too monochromatic anyway.
ReplyDeleteThat is one cute pooch! You're outfit is adorable too. :)
ReplyDeleteIggy is too darn adorable!
ReplyDeleteI love all of these pictures, and I think you fully met the challenge of mixing with another bold print. It looks great!
Those shots of you and Iggy are ADORABLE!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could scrap them. Haha
I am totally addicted and loving digital scrapbooking.
And this outfit. I love it! I love the way your skirt matches the colour of your lips, and your hair and everything! Oh Kyla, you are gorgeous.
I like the pattern pairing...it's unexpected, but works! Aw Iggy and his unruly beard! He's posing so well...keep 'em coming! I can't have a dog in my NYC apt, so I love to see others!
ReplyDeleteWHat a great set of photos! Each and every one of them... esp. the ones of you and Iggy up close together. Awww..... :)
ReplyDeleteYou two are the cutest little bunch. I'm glad other bloggers out there take pics with their doggies. Mine has become a constant accessory:)
ReplyDeleteLove the pattern mixing and the numerous shots of puppy and you. It's like an outdoor photoboth...
ReplyDeleteyour puppy is SO cute!!!
ReplyDeleteand that skirt is rad! would you ever consider sharing the pattern you used to make it?? before i scrolled down, i thought "that skirt's amazing! i have to get my hands on one." i was delighted to hear it's handmade...i'm always looking for new distractions, i mean, sewing projects.
Oh man, oh man, oh man, I LOVE THIS! Those prints are just amazing together. And the tough belt in between? Gah!
ReplyDeleteThis is a favourite.
