The word "slick" always comes to mind when I feel buttoned-up, yet street chic. I guess that's how I felt today. And seeing how I ended up having to work on my only day off (hmph), it's a good thing I felt so "slick." Oh, yeah ... the 50° and sunshine didn't hurt.
I took this outfit for a trial spin during my 2 hours of work yesterday and decided it was worthy of a full day of wear today. I often times use Saturday and Sunday to try out some new styles. It makes getting dressed so much easier during the week when I have something in mind already. Of course, the reverse it true, too - weekends are great days to repeat previous favorites :)
I painted on the red lips again today. A couple of years ago, I wore them ALL the time. Now that I'm revisiting them, I'm falling in love all over again. For those of you who asked, this is a Revlon formula in Certainly Red. I'm really picky about lipstick, and I LOVE this stuff!
Even though I had to work, I still had a fantastic Monday. Hope you can say the same!
Blazer: JCP, $25 again! - Button-down: Bitten, $10 - Cargos: Gap, $20ish - Scarf: old! - Shoes: Steve Madden via Ross, $17
Slick chic all the way. LOVE the red lips, girl!

ReplyDeleteKyla....are you growing your bangs out? I'm sort of considering it- I'd usually cut mine now, but, I keep seeing everyone with theirs pinned back. I can't make up my mind I want someone else to choose. :)
