Anybody else getting all reflective this week? I've been thinking a lot about the past year and how much I've grown. It's been full of ups and downs and everything in between. But, that's history now and I'm turning my focus to the future.
There's soooo much I want to accomplish in the coming year. So much so that my resolutions are becoming a bit overwhelming! In order to guarantee the growth and productivity that I'd like to see in 2010, I'm trying to make my goals as specific as possible.
Here's just a few I've got floating around in my head:
1. Streamline my work schedule and maximize my income. Duh, right? Who wouldn't want to do this? For me, it means going after the things that I want to do and making every hour as efficient as possible. I anticipate starting 2 new endeavors this year. Both should allow me the freedom of time to back off of the odd jobs that I do. I realize this sounds kind of vague, but it's only because I'm not quite ready to put it all on the table yet. Soon enough. Soon enough.
2. Try one new (healthy) recipe every week.
3. Run a 9 mile race next November.
Hmm ... they don't look like much when they're written down. I think that helped! Now, execution is key.
What are your New Year's Resolutions?
These are great resolutions! I'm still thinking about my goals for the upcoming year....
ReplyDeleteI sat down to think about my resolutions and came up with 25... time to weed. :)
ReplyDeleteThose are good resolutions! Good luck with the training for the 9 mile race. I hope to remember to send cards for people's birthdays. That's my resolution.
ReplyDeleteDon't have a resolution. I think they are stupid because I never stick to them. In fact I started what I wanted to do the day after Christmas. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI have some big goals for next year! I can't wait, see you later 2009!
ReplyDeleteLove you recipe idea, I'd love to try and do that too.
Best of luck with your resolutions! :)
ReplyDeleteMy main goals for next year are to learn to sew, to get my Etsy shop up and running, and to be healthier.
I like those goals! I'm a fan of writing them down too. I'm still thinking about mine but I know it's going to include stepping it up with the exercise. I've let that slack in the last 6-8 months.
ReplyDeleteGreat resolutions. I scrapped my half-marathon goal for 2010 but I'm planning on besting my 10k time, so that counts right?
ReplyDeleteyou know I really have been reflecting, also my birthday is on the 4th and in feb will be a decade I've been with my man so that adds to it.
ReplyDeleteI don't tend to make resolutions, more like goals. I would like to get the eyeline to the same 'numbers' as style symmetry, up my workouts from 3 to four a week and do a bit more home maintenance.
I'M GOING TO A PARTY IN AN ART GALLERY, IN LISBON!

I'm still working on my resolutions. I have a feeling that I won't fully decide on them until mid-January, but that's okay.
ReplyDeleteI really like your idea of trying a new recipe each week.
I too am feeling totally reflective right now. Good time to post I think!
ReplyDeleteYour goals look completely reasonable and achievable! Rock out!
great resolutions! at the moment i have a list as long as my arm, full of vagueness and projects...i will pin them down this week i think! xx
ReplyDeleteI have resolved to not eat in my cubicle anymore, make my bed every morning, and get to work by 8am.
ReplyDeleteMy goal for next year is to finish my undergraduate degree finally.
I too am being very reflective....I'll need to voice some of my resolutions out and get feedback. Love that a 9 mile race is on your list.
ReplyDeleteThere is so much that I want to achieve in the next 12 months but the main ones are being craftier - I want to learn to sew properly! Being more aware of what we spend and waste and I want to try and be greener!
